Pookie has been going through a stage where he is glued to my side. Rob's been feeling a little bit left out. Then the Blizzard of '13 hit and Rob was gone from mid day on Friday and got back home in the afternoon on Sunday. Rob did manage to stop by the house twice 50-ish hours that he was out. But really, the time that Rob was home, he was asleep for most of it. We're talking at total of 5 hours at home over the course of two days. Pookie really missed his Dada and boy, did I know it! For the most part Pookie is a good kid. He's active, but he will listen to what I am telling him. Over the the span of the blizzard, Pookie had one issue after another. He was not a happy little camper.
Then Rob came home. Pookie was ecstatic to see his Dada. I was telling Rob how Pookie kept having issues over the weekend and I mentioned that Pookie really missed him. Rob was a little surprised that Pookie missed him so much. Seeing as he's been having such a Mama's boy streak going on. However, Rob was relieved and happy that Pookie missed him. Nothing like a little validation that even though Pookie is going though a clingy stage with one of us, he still loves both of us.
On a side note, it was really funny to watch Pookie's reaction to the amount of snow that we got. We got about 30" here, plus the drifts. We had to get a front end loader to clear our driveway. Pookie was ecstatic about the 'Big Truck'! I did manage to get Pookie out in the snow. At first he wanted nothing to do with going outside. But once we got out he had a lot of fun helping me shovel the walkways.
